We have free range and pasture raised birds, producing both types of fresh eggs.
We currently have no eggs for sale, but will update the website to let you know when we do.
We have free range chickens that can move around their large aviary during the day and return to the coop at night for safety and warmth. We also have a large group of pasture raised chickens that roam the entire farm freely during the day and go into the barn for safety at night. The pasture raised chickens eggs are the healthiest and tastiest of them all.
All of our chickens are docile breeds. Some of the breeds we have are Buff Orpingtons, Orpingtons, Plymouth Barred Rocks and Amber Links.
This is the large aviary where the chickens can roam freely all day.
Free range eggs are so good for you! They have 6 grams of protein, 70 milligrams of omega-3 fatty acids, high levels of lutein and zeaxanthin, (which lower your risk of vision loss like macular degeneration later in life), as well as healthy doses of Vitamins A, D, and E. They also have plenty of choline to support memory and nerve function.
These eggs contain three to six times more Vitamin D than conventional supermarket eggs.
Free-range eggs contain up to a third less cholesterol than conventional supermarket eggs. A standard egg contains an average of 423 milligrams of cholesterol, while free-range eggs contain an average of 277 milligrams.
Free range chickens and pasture raised chickens are happier because they're allowed to roam around pecking for good things to eat.
Pasture raised eggs are so good for you! Their color, flavor and texture are made distinctive by high amounts of Vitamin A, D, E, K2, B-12, folate, riboflavin, zinc, calcium, beta carotene, choline, and tons of omega-3 fatty acids, including DHA, EPA, ALA, and AA. They also have up to 1/3 less cholesterol. A pasture-raised egg is a true superfood.
